If there are any WACKY rents in your area PLEASE let us know right away so we can fix them. Your feedback is what helps us get more accurate.

In some areas of the country (especially vacation home areas) we have found some estimated rents to be TOO high or TOO low.

Please contact us at with the MLS#, Address or Revestor URL and we can override any property on the fly.

RevestorRent is comprised of a formula/algorithm and actual rental comps. The more properties we have the more the algorithm starts to recognize patterns in the data and will get more accurate over time.

User feedback is also helping us get more accurate.

We will be adding an easy to use “Suggest a Rent” button next to the estimated rent on the site shortly for users. In the meantime just simply adjust the rent accordingly with the sliders on the detail page.

We don’t claim to be perfect or 100% accurate but in most areas we are pretty close and provide a good starting point for people to start to work off of.

Now that we are nationwide we have seen a couple areas with WACKY rents so its all a work in progress. Its all about the support we are getting from our users. We have a lot of users giving valuable feedback so the site is really becoming user driven. We have a lot of people rooting for us and that is gratifying for the team and I.

What Do You Think?

First off, I would like to thank you for taking the time to review the site and offer your feedback in the form of a comment below. YES THIS IS THE PLACE TO LET IT LOOSE!

Secondly, I’d like to take a moment to thank our amazing team of engineers, programmers, designers, advisors and NINJAs for making the impossible, possible. I truly honor you. Thank you to all that have supported us (and an equal thank you to the naysayers/non-supporters as you motivated us just the same). Almost a year in the making we are finally here. Our vision, our hard work, and our unwavering faith have brought us here today.

While San Diego [UPDATED] and now The Greater Phoenix Metropolitan Area is just a starting point we are still very much a “work in progress“. The site is not perfect (especially for a perfectionist that is striving for simplicity). We launched with about 75% of the functionality/capability that we wanted to, but hey, we were anxious to bring about change.

The main things we are aware of and will be releasing in the near future is: 1.) address, neighborhood, city and MLS# search (eliminating the zip code drop-down allowing the user to type it in) 2.) Our own AVM (Valuation Model) 3.) Sliders working dynamically with our RevestorRating Graph and 4.) Nationwide coverage (all of which is very close…you just need to let us know that you want it and that you want it BAD!)

We will be the first to admit our ‘estimated rent’ and our algorithm are not 100% accurate. Over time (as the algorithm recognizes patterns in our database and our users give feedback it WILL gain more intelligence and get very close!). At this point, Revestor is not an end all be all, but rather a pre-due diligence tool. You certainly aren’t going to call up your real estate agent and say “buy 1234 Main St – now!” without doing any additional research but it sure is going to give you a good place to start. It is very important that you find yourself at the site often. Know that this post is always a place that you can come and give feedback and help make improvements.

Some may be fearful of real estate catching up to today’s technology…but I say we must accept, adapt and embrace the change as if we keep doing what we are doing we will keep getting what we are getting! Our goal with Revestor is to help people make better decisions by providing the most relevant (useful) information. In other words searching by the things that actually matter.

WE WANT TO ELICIT YOUR FEEDBACK. After all, the only way we can get better and grow is with constructive and critical feedback from our users. Our users are who will sculpt the site into what it will ultimately become (chipping away what doesn’t belong and chiseling what is already there)

BloodHound Unchained Real Estate Conference Anaheim

While attending the National Association of Realtors annual conference in Anaheim we decided to veer off the beaten path on Friday and attend BloodHound Unchained. The group invited us to present/demo Revestor and so of course we accepted the invitation with open arms. We gave them a little sneak of whats to come this month and received some great questions and feedback. Most of the group signed up on the spot to reserve their username and even were nice enough to share their unique URL with friends and other real estate professionals!

[Side Note: No I am not normally a grizzly bear. I am involved in a charity called Movember Facial Hair Formal to squash cancer put on by one of our advisors Teevan McManus as well as sportscaster and friend John Weisbarth.]

I would best describe Bloodhound Unchained as a mini inman conference where technology meets real estate (yes that is Inman’s tagline not mine). No, but seriously, a conference/training event/seminar/social/networking event with a tight group of cool geeks getting real results and real organic leads with hard work, software, unique content, blogs, links, SEO, email marketing and more! I know that isn’t a sentence but neither is bloodhound unchained. I was impressed to say the least and I learned some really cool stuff and so did Carlos Pastrana, our friend and agent from San Diego who also attended.

Special thanks to: Greg Swann of Bloodhound Realty in Phoenix for sharing tips, tricks, and secrets on lead generation. Scott Schang of Homeownership University in Orange County for sharing his WordPress tips and plugins, conversion techniques, and analytics. Attending events like these is not about “I know most of this or all of this stuff” (Yes, some content may be a review for some). The point is to take away 1-2 solid breakthroughs or distinctions that will pivot your business into explosive growth! And that is what most people don’t get…
